Theo’s Greek Cakes offers a delightful journey into the heart of traditional Greek pastry-making. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve walked into a family kitchen. The interior is simple yet charming, with an emphasis on showcasing their delicious offerings rather than overwhelming you with décor. One of the standout aspects of Theo’s is the sheer variety of treats on offer. Each cake and pastry is meticulously crafted, embodying the rich flavors and heritage of Greek baking. The baklava is a must-try—layers of flaky pastry soaked in syrup with just the right balance of sweetness and crunch. It’s not overly sweet like some versions tend to be, allowing the nutty filling to shine. The galaktoboureko, a custard-filled pastry, is another highlight, with its creamy, smooth texture and light citrus notes. It’s clear that quality ingredients are at the forefront of every item. Their loukoumades, or Greek doughnuts, deserve a special mention. Served fresh and hot, they’re crisp on the outside yet fluffy on the inside, and drizzled with honey and cinnamon for a perfect bite every time. They also offer variations with chocolate or nuts, catering to different palates without ever losing the authentic touch. What really sets Theo’s apart is not just the quality of their baked goods but the love and passion that go into every aspect of their service. Theo himself is often present, chatting with customers, sharing stories behind each recipe, and offering recommendations. It’s the kind of personal touch that makes you feel like more than just a customer. If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll appreciate their expertly brewed Greek coffee, which pairs perfectly with their pastries. The coffee has that rich, bold flavor typical of Greek-style brews, making it an ideal accompaniment to the sweetness of their cakes. Prices are reasonable, considering the high quality and authenticity of the offerings. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick snack or picking up a box of assorted pastries to share, you’ll feel like you’re getting excellent value for your money. Overall, Theo’s Greek Cakes is a gem for anyone who appreciates traditional, home-style baking. It’s not just a bakery; it’s a place where you can taste the care and tradition passed down through generations. The combination of excellent service, quality ingredients, and authentic flavors makes it a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth or a love for Greek cuisine. Highly recommended!

The cakes at Theo's Greek Cakes are always very fresh and they taste like they are made on the spot. Its like your eating a Greek sweet in Greece, thats how nice they are. I love this place. Theo's Greek Cakes is better than any cafe i have been to. I would rather come here then go to a local cafe in the suburb i live in. The lady who served us was very nice. 5 out of 5 stars. Will be back again. If you come here, you come here for a Greek Sweet. Maybe avoid the sweets that are not Greek. Greek Sweets are always the best. Nothing beats Greek desserts.

Accidentally discovered this little gem! The ladies who served us were polite, friendly and very accommodating. The service was quick and efficient. There was so much variety and choice and it all looked amazingly delicious. The coffees, cherry cake and the tiramisu were top class. Hope I have a chance to go back, even though I have to travel 40 minutes to get there!

If you want the real Greek experience in Melbourne's west, Theo's is the right place. A great selection of pastries and sweets. Beware: these pastries and sweets are very different from anything else you know in Melbourne! They are delicious and large! There are a few tables if you want to enjoy the pastries and sweets in-house. The staff are very friendly and will help with all your needs! Highly recommended!
